Divine Interruption

DREAM

I had a dream a few months ago that I was at a typical church service. The room had a light, upbeat atmosphere, but it felt as if everyone on the worship team was singing or playing their own version of the same song. Nothing would have seemed out of the ordinary to the average person, but to the discerning, there was a definite lack of cohesiveness. Just as the team started singing, “Every tongue in Heaven and Earth shall declare you Glory. Every knee will bow at your throne in worship,” suddenly, a great wind burst in, and an overwhelming holiness began to fill the room. Realizing this, every person in the room, including the entire worship team, had a striking look of recognition, yet utter shock registered on their faces. Once the shock started to thaw, everyone fell to their knees and buried their faces as low as possible into the floor's carpet, all worshiping simultaneously.

God had entered the room! It was a divine interruption!

A tangible seriousness permeated the atmosphere as God, Himself ushered in a corporate level of unity. Waves of God’s Glory filled the room, igniting deep cries of intercession and travail before the Lord. A wild and holy synchronization of unity had ignited!

As I woke up from this dream, I was shaking under the power of God and the heavy weight of His Glory resting over me. I knew this was not an ordinary dream. I was so overcome by God’s Glory for the next few hours!

DIVINE INTERRUPTION IS HERE!

Divine, by definition, means proceeding directly from God. Interruption, by definition, means a stoppage or hindering of an activity.

When God steps on the scene, things change! When He steps onto the scene, unity is released, priorities come into focus, the eternal is prioritized, and divine alignment happens.

INVITATION

Divine interruption is here! God is stepping onto the scene to refocus and anchor the eyes of the Church where it needs to be—captivated by His majesty and Glory! Will you embrace the divine interruption of God even if it comes packaged in a way you don’t expect? Will you embrace the divine interruption of God even if it shakes your personal kingdom in order to advance His Kingdom?

“Then the temple of the Lord was filled with the cloud, so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.” - 2 Chronicles 5:13-14 ESV
